How Mailsniper complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Mailsniper is operated from Germany within the European Union. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"). This page explains your rights and how to exercise them.
What Data We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Account information — Email address, name, and hashed password
- Usage data — API request logs, IP addresses, and timestamps
- Analytics data — Pseudonymous usage data collected via Ahrefs Analytics (only with your consent)

How to Exercise Your Rights
You can exercise your data protection rights in the following ways:
- Self-service — Update your profile or delete your account directly from your account settings.
- Contact us — For access requests, data portability, or any other rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request to protect your data from unauthorized access.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (API keys, request logs, and profile information) at any time from your profile page. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. If you do not have an account, you can contact us to request deletion of any data we may hold about you.
Data Processing
When you submit email addresses or domains to the Mailsniper API for validation, you remain the data controller for that information. Mailsniper acts as a data processor, processing the data solely to deliver validation results to you. We do not use customer-submitted data for marketing or to build independent datasets.

Supervisory Authority
If you believe that your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can contact the data protection authority in the EU member state where you reside, where you work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
